~DIY ARROW VALENTINES ♥

Design, Wash, Rinse, Repeat did such a good job on these; I love the color scheme that was used and the sentiment they convey.

Unpainted wood pencils were used, and it looks like they might be this brand.  I'm not sure if it's easy to find this type of pencil without ordering them online, but I think pencils in solid colors would also work well.  You could even paint over another color to achieve your desired shade.

~SALTY-SWEET VALENTINE TREATS ♥

These cute things were made with pretzels that Simply Designing found at World Market years ago, and I've looked online and can't find any like them; however, I think Rold Gold Tiny Twists would also work well.

Instead of using red or pink candy melts, you could always add oil- or powdered food coloring to white chocolate, such as this (water-based food coloring will ruin melted chocolate). Here are instructions for making homemade candy melts; though European measurements are used, they can easily be converted.  And lastly, here are some pro tips for melting and tempering chocolate.

These Cupid's Arrows are delightfully simple yet so cute, and the fact that stick pretzels and heart gummies usually aren't hard to find makes this treat even better.  I think they'd be perfect on the top of a cupcake, or a handful of them could be scattered across a sheet- or layer cake.  Come to think of it, a glazed pound cake or sweet bread (such as this) made in a standard- or mini-sized pan or ramekin could be prettied up with these.
